Cocktail Inspirations

French 75

The French 75 is named for the fast-firing 75 millimeter field gun that was utilized by the French during World War One. Consisting of gin, fresh lemon juice, sugar and Champagne, the drink is a lot friendlier than the name implies.

1 ounce gin (Latin Secco)
1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/2 ounce simple syrup
3 ounces Champagne (or other sparkling wine)
Garnish: lemon twist

Add the gin, lemon juice and simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
Strain into a Champagne flute.
Top with the Champagne.
Garnish with a lemon twist.

South Beach

The classic Moscow Mule is a simple, refreshing cocktail that combines vodka, ginger beer and fresh lime juice and is traditionally served in an ice-cold copper mug. This variation eschews vodka for gin, letting the juniper-dominant spirit meld with spicy-sweet ginger beer and tart citrus.

45 ml Latin Secco
20 ml Lemon Juice
20 ml Simple Syrup
12 Mint Leaves

Shake all ingredients
Double strain into a cocktail glass
Garnish with a sprig of mint

Gin & Tonic

1 Part of Latin Secco Gin
3 Parts Fever Tree “Mediterranean Tonic Water”

Build all ingredients in a highball glass with ice cubes and stir
